Senior Vice President, Product Management

About This Role

The SVP, Head of Product Management, is a senior executive leader responsible for defining and executing the digital vision, product strategy, and end-to-end customer experience across a rapidly scaling financial services platform. This role oversees both consumer-facing financial products and professional-grade digital platforms serving registered investment advisors (RIAs) and broker-dealers.

The Head of Product leads all major digital initiatives, including trading, lending, deposit products, robo-advisory solutions, and professional workstations. This leader drives innovation through technology and data, partners closely with engineering and go-to-market teams, and builds high-performing product organizations that deliver secure, intuitive, and differentiated experiences for both retail customers and financial professionals.

Location Note: This role is 100% on-site in California. Candidates located outside the California area must be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

Digital Strategy & Executive Leadership

  • Define and lead the enterprise-wide digital product strategy across consumer and securities platforms, ensuring initiatives are customer-centric and deliver measurable business value.

  • Anticipate and respond to competitive and market trends across fintech, wealth management, trading platforms, deposit products, lending, and robo-advisory services.

  • Champion a customer-first, digital-first, product-driven culture across the organization.

  • Ensure customer insights, feedback, and behavioral data are embedded into strategic decisions and long-term product roadmaps.

Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the product vision and multi-year roadmap across consumer trading, lending, deposit products, robo-advisory offerings, and professional advisor workstations.

  • Align product development priorities with the needs of retail customers, financial advisors, and institutional partners.

  • Prioritize initiatives using data, analytics, competitive intelligence, regulatory considerations, and market demand.

Customer, Advisor & Professional Experience

  • Deliver secure, intuitive, and highly differentiated digital experiences across consumer, advisor, and broker-dealer platforms.

  • Lead the integration of advanced tools for RIAs and broker-dealers, including portfolio management, trade execution, compliance monitoring, and client reporting.

  • Enhance consumer trust, transparency, and financial literacy through thoughtful product design and feature development.

  • Embed a consistent, customer-centric approach across all digital products, with user needs and feedback at the core of every decision.

Digital Personalization & Marketing Partnership

  • Drive personalized digital experiences using data insights, behavioral analytics, and AI-driven recommendations.

  • Partner closely with digital marketing teams to align product capabilities with acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.

  • Collaborate on customer segmentation, personalization initiatives, and targeted campaigns to increase adoption and satisfaction.

  • Continuously refine personalization strategies using performance analytics to ensure relevance and value across user segments.

  • Ensure tight integration between product and marketing to deliver a cohesive and seamless end-to-end customer journey.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, sales, and business leaders to define and execute go-to-market strategies across all digital products.

  • Align product launches, feature rollouts, and enhancements with marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and customer engagement plans.

  • Ensure GTM strategies incorporate customer insights, regulatory requirements, and core business objectives.

  • Track and measure launch performance, adjusting strategies based on results and feedback.

  • Foster strong, ongoing alignment between product, marketing, engineering, and business teams to drive adoption, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.

Performance Metrics, Analytics & Data Leadership

  • Define, implement, and monitor KPIs across consumer and professional platforms, including adoption, engagement, retention, trading activity, lending and deposit performance, robo-advisory outcomes, and advisor productivity.

  • Establish executive-level dashboards and reporting to deliver actionable insights.

  • Use analytics to inform product decisions, prioritize development, and optimize user experience.

  • Set measurable goals for all digital initiatives and track progress against strategic objectives.

  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across product, engineering, and marketing teams.

Growth, Innovation & Market Differentiation

  • Drive sustained adoption, engagement, and retention across both retail and institutional channels.

  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with fintechs, custodians, and technology providers as appropriate.

  • Position the platform competitively against fintech disruptors, trading platforms, robo-advisors, deposit providers, and advisor workstation solutions.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Directly manage senior product leaders and user experience design teams.

  • Build and scale high-performing product organizations serving both B2C consumers and B2B financial professionals.

  • Mentor leaders and teams to embrace experimentation, rapid iteration, and continuous innovation.

  • Report platform strategy, progress, risks, and growth opportunities to executive leadership and the board.

  • Partner with engineering and delivery teams to evolve operating models from project-based execution to a true product-centric approach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives at scale.

  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Deep understanding of modern product development methodologies and lifecycle management.

  • Demonstrated market insight and ability to translate customer needs into successful products.
