Search Engine Marketing Specialist

As a Search Engine Marketing Specialist (SEM) for our client in the Sports & Outdoor retail space, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing paid search marketing strategies across their brand. You will be at the forefront of research, planning, and management of their paid search marketing channels, including Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Google Analytics. Your ability to conceptualize, implement, and oversee digital assets and marketing campaigns will be crucial to their success.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute SEM Strategy and campaigns including Search, Display and YouTube

  • Develop best practice recommendations and identify new opportunities for SEM channels

  • Leverage the latest SEM media trends in ongoing strategies

  • Work with marketing and studio team to plan engaging and creative content that speaks to brand messaging

  • Track analytics, report and establish KPIs to define success and share actionable learnings supporting business objectives

  • Campaign Management including Campaign Optimization & Maintenance: Post-launch analysis and adjustment

  • Keyword Research to explore opportunity areas to expand and identify negative keywords to make sure the budget is focused on relevant keywords

  • Ad Copy Creation – on a weekly basis through Google Ads Editor as we market the weekly promotions

  • Landing Page Optimization – to test and measure how they are performing to make sure the Bounce rate remains minimum and Conv Rate is maintained

  • Create and Manage the Display Campaigns on the basis of performance

  • Able to provide feedback on the creatives to the designing team and ability to make minor tweaks if required

  • Provide Insights & recommendations on opportunities identified based on the business goals and performance

  • Data-driven mindset, and proficiency with Google Analytics, as well as emerging data collection and reporting tools

  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reporting based on the performance of the account and the business goals

Essential Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Experience with Google Ads, Google Editor is must

  • Proven work experience owning a brand’s SEM media channels

  • Strong analytical skills with a creative mind informing strategy

  • Thorough understanding of SEM media best practices and latest trends

  • + years of experience with Google Analytics and Data Studio

  • Background in eCommerce and retail is ideal

  • Good to have – Programmatic Campaign experience, Salesforce experience
