Head of Marketing

Our client is looking for a Head of Marketing with experience in high growth B2B marketing and deep SME experience. The ideal candidate will lead marketing strategy and execution for the Canadian business, driving high-volume, commercially relevant pipeline that converts to revenue, alongside brand growth. This involves translating local priorities into clear, outcome-driven plans while leveraging global capabilities and expertise.
OWNS (Primary Responsibility)
Owns the Canadian marketing strategy, aligned to local revenue targets and global direction
Owns demand generation with a focus on scalable lead volume, quality, and conversion efficiency
Accountable for marketing-sourced pipeline, ACV contribution, and CAC performance in a high-volume model
Works in tight alignment with Sales to ensure pipeline converts efficiently to revenue
Owns marketing performance reporting, delivering clear insights, trends, and recommendations to leadership
Owns channel-level attribution, diagnosing which channels produce closed deals (not just leads) and reallocating spend based on revenue contribution
Owns the transition from lead-based to account-based marketing as the commercial model matures, targeting top 500–1,000 ideal-fit accounts
Owns marketing operations, including HubSpot, campaign infrastructure, and data integrity across systems
Leads the marketing team to deliver integrated, locally relevant campaigns across all channels
Owns brand execution in Canada, aligned to global positioning and adapted for local market needs
Owns go-to-market execution for Canadian launches and initiatives, including key commercial events and moments
Owns customer lifecycle marketing (onboarding, engagement, retention, win-back)
Builds and evolves a high-performing team, ensuring capability, structure, and output align to business needs
Owns marketing budget, allocation, and ROI accountability
SUPPORTS
Revenue growth by enabling Sales with high-volume, high-quality, conversion-ready pipeline
Partners with Sales leadership to jointly own pipeline performance and conversion to ACV
Product and commercial strategy through market insights, customer feedback, and competitive analysis
Customer retention and expansion through lifecycle and engagement strategies
Global marketing through local insights, testing, and performance feedback
Thought leadership and brand credibility in the Canadian market
INFORMED (Visibility Into)
Global strategy, priorities, and marketing direction
Sales pipeline performance, conversion metrics, and ACV targets
Product roadmap and launch plans
Customer usage, retention, and feedback trends
Budget expectations and financial performance
OCCASIONALLY
Evaluates new channels, segments, and growth opportunities in Canada
Contributes to global marketing initiatives and cross-region collaboration
Supports ELT/board discussions with performance insights and growth recommendations
Identifies opportunities to scale successful initiatives across the group
ROLE BOUNDARIES
Does not own sales execution or revenue closing
Does not own global marketing strategy or brand direction
Does not own product development or roadmap decisions
TECH STACK: HubSpot (Marketing Hub), Salesforce, Clay (or equivalent enrichment tools), LeanData, Gong, Google Analytics/GA4, and at minimum conceptual familiarity with ABM platforms (ex. Demandbase, 6sense, RollWorks).
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS : As a leader with a team heavily based in our London, Ontario office, you would be expected to travel to London 1 day per week, likely for the first 12 months, then can become less frequent as mutually agreed upon.
Salary: $170-200K
